BIOGRAPHY
I was born in Istanbul in 1963, graduated from TU of Berlin at Physical Engineering and worked as a manager in different cities and companies around the world. I will end my active career at the end of 2023.
I started photography during my high school years, starting with black and white analog photography and darkroom work, and during my university years in Berlin, I worked on theater, fashion and documentary photography on local issues in various magazines. I improved myself in photography with autodidact training and workshops. I led workshops about light and basics of photography in the studio.
Berlin, Istanbul and other world cities, portrait photography are my main themes. I love working by adhering to the basic rules and aesthetics layers on photography and telling stories through photographs. My biggest target is to track down photographs that have a strong expression, regardless of black and white or color.
Portrait and experimental fineart nude studio works are my indispensable passion, apart from this, converting my analog photographs into digitization and archiving them are another of my pursuits. I write a column for a Turkish magazine about the photography life in Berlin and the exhibitions I visit.
I had 6 personal and 7 group exhibitions in Berlin and Istanbul.
